Our water walker is the latest state of the art treadmill. It is used for dogs to exercise whilst being supported by warm water. It achieves an exaggerated range of movement in the limbs and encourages flexion and extension in a very controlled environment. Adjusting the water height allows us to increase or decrease the resistance the dog is walking against and reduces the
load on their joints. The speed of the treadmill can also be adjusted.
The treadmill has glass sides and have mirrors on our walls so we can closely analyse your dog’s movement as they are walking. We are observing for the range of motion of the joints, the gait pattern they adopt, their base of support and their stride parameters. We can adjust the speed, water height or way we are supporting your dog to correct their movement.
The water walker has easy access doors at both ends and will easily accommodate dogs of any size. It is also useful in dogs who are not comfortable in the pool
